What We Have Done

FAQs

Are you a legitimate contractor?

Yes. We are licensed as a specialty contractor by the Department of Labor and Industries, a licensed business in the state of Washington and we are bonded/insured. Make sure any contractor that works on your property meets these legal requirements.

What equipment do you use for pressure washing?

At Wash Washington, we use professional-grade pressure washing equipment that is powerful enough to remove even the toughest dirt and grime from surfaces. Our equipment creates high flow high pressure water that allow us to adjust the pressure and temperature to suit the surface being cleaned. We transport this equipment in a large enclosed trailer which will take quite a bit of space when we arrive at your site.

Will you wash my house?

It depends on your goal. We prefer not to use high pressure on homes. If you are preparing to have your house painted pressure washing is the right solution and we can help. If you want to rinse dust and debris without chemicals then we can help.

Are there any risks to pressure washing?

Yes. But hiring an experienced contractor that will not use chemicals is a great start in minimizing risks. But some things to consider... You might not like what's under all that dirt and grime. Cleaning may expose stains, cracks or finish imperfections.

Don't chemicals do a better job?

Maybe. Nothing kills organic growth like a caustic and corrosive chemical and some other types of stains can only be removed with the help of a chemical. There are some very conscientious and knowledgeable contractors that can help you with your needs that may require chemicals. We would be happy to point you to the very best in Washington State. But we've made the decision not to use chemicals in our business.

Can you wash asphalt?

Yes. Carefully! In the Pacific Northwest, moss is an asphalt killer. Moss can infiltrate asphalt and retain moisture. Freeze thaw will then crack and separate your valuable surface. A light periodic cleaning will limit this condition.

How do you develop your estimates?

We use a graduated square foot price that is based on total square footage. The bigger the space the lower the cost per square foot. We also have a minimum charge. Anything under 1000 square feet will be billed hourly with a 2 hour minimum. If we need to travel an excessive distance from our shop in East King County we will need to charge for travel costs.

Can you wash a wood deck?

Yes. Carefully. If your deck is painted we should not wash it(similar to your house).

What happens to the dirt and water?

Great question! In short, dirty water cannot end up in our regions waterways. We will direct it into a pervious service such as grass or landscaped areas. We will make every effort to prevent dirty water from going into any storm drain. Options for preventing this are water reclamation systems or fabric barriers.

How long does a pressure washing service take?

The duration of a pressure washing service depends on the size of the property and the areas that need to be cleaned. Most residential washing services can be completed in 4 hours.
